Hero MotoCorp reported a 3.64 percent rise in total sales at 4,59,996 units for August 2013.
1n the same month of 2012 , it had sold 4,43,801 units.
Hero MotoCorp Senior Vice President (Marketing and Sales) Anil Dua said:
"Registering growth in both retail as well as dispatch sales despite
weak market sentiments has come about due to several initiatives
undertaken in recent times.
The company said in August, it launched its operations in Peru, roping
in Motocorp SAC - a part of the reputed EFE Group of Peru - as the sole
distributor of Hero range of two-wheelers in the Latin American country.
